Visit to SEBI Office by Students of Apex International School

The students of 11 th and 12 th commerce of Apex International School visited SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) office at Ambedkar Circle, Jaipur. The session “Talk with SEBI” was presented by Mr. Siddharth (AGM), Assistant General Manager at SEBI Jaipur. It was a great opportunity for the students to know about SEBI. Mr. Siddharth discussed the role of SEBI in security market, its functioning and told that it keeps a check on malpractices & protects the interest of investors. He talked about the scams of share market and reason why government of India decided to give it a legal status in 1992.Students inquired what courses can be opted additionally along with their regular graduation degrees to enhance their knowledge in share market. What kind of penalties are imposed by SEBI on fraudulent? He shared SEBI came up with the new online portal. Which was started by SEBI for the redressal of complaints, which is known as SCORE. Mr. Siddharth came up with apt and simple examples to comprehend the financial terminologies. Discussion was culminated with brain storming Question – Answers Session.
